Never Say Never

I said I would never drive a mini van...well technically it is a people carrier, or a seven seater. It is a 2006 Vauxhall Zafira. Andrew is thrilled with his blue car because it is the same colour as his best friend's car. According to him, she has a big blue car and we have a small blue car :)

We took Kate's crib down and she is now sleeping in a big bed. Seems a shame for a perfectly good crib to be unused. Hmmmm.

Ok, so it has been forever since I've posted. I lead a busy life you know!! Here is what we have been up to.

Andrew is very creative when building with his Legos. He quickly discovered that if he stands on a stool he can build bigger towers.


Daddy surprised Andrew one day by building a tower that was as tall as the ceiling.

Rosemarkie Beach/The Black Isle

The second day of our car rental, we toured the Black Isle. First we met some friends at Rosemarkie Beach. We weren't sure what to wear since we didn't know what the weather was going to do. Both kids ended up in bare feet with wet and sandy clothes, but we had a great time.

After the beach, we drove on to a village called Cromarty. We enjoyed warm drinks and treats in a cafe and wandered around the village.

Trip to Ullapool

We rented a car last week and took a day trip to Ullapool, which is on the west coast. It was a cloudy, gray day but was dry. We enjoyed some amazing fish and chips. Then we went to an area that had a beach and a light house.
