Kate's First Birthday

I am extremely behind on posts. So here is my attempt at catching up.

Kate had three birthday parties when she turned one. I'm glad her grandparents got to celebrate with her.

Future Rock Star

Here is our rock star in the making. He watches two shows that have musicians playing guitars. He loves to act like them.

I don't know if you can hear it, but the guitar plays "Wild Thing" when you play it. It is quite humorous listening to Wild Thing while he is singing "Twinkle, Twinkle."

Christmas (two new posts)

Our Christmas holiday started at Jason's parents' house but I don't have those photos, so I'll start with my parents' house. Sorry, these pictures are in random order.

Kate is walking!

Kate has been on her feet walking around furniture for a few months. In the last week she has figured out her balance and has started taking a few steps on her own. She took 7 steps the other day and 17 steps yesterday!

We have a climber!

Kate is moving everywhere and she has no fear! Her latest thing is climbing. I'm amazed at how good she climbs for 9 months old.

Here is our blockade to keep her from climbing on the fire place.

This was her first big fall. Poor baby!

Fall Leaves

Last Sunday was decent weather so I decided to try to get some pictures in the fall leaves. However, the ground was wet, Kate was sleepy, Andrew was not interested, and a cat came wandering into our garden in the middle of taking the pictures! I managed to get a few cute ones.



Kate was very interested in the cat.


I attempted a few more the next day. Kate was too busy eating the leaves to smile.

I absolutely love this one! (except that he looks about 5 years old instead of 2 1/2)

The Two Kiddos

Kate is 9 months old today! I can't believe it!
She has discovered the TV.

Kate is moving everywhere. She has no interest in toys, only in TV remotes, shoes, and anything else she is not supposed to have!

During dinner one night, Kate crawled under the table and then couldn't get out.

I made a cake of "Scoop" from Bob the Builder for Andrew's friend's birthday.

Kate has learned to make a kissing sound. It is too cute!
